MY OLYMPIC DILEMMA

Synopsis - An editorial by Sean D. Krausert reflecting on the recent Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic Games. Torn between loving many things about the Olympics and the thought of how much the Olympics cost (which could benefit many in need around the world), Sean suggests an evolution of the games that may be beneficial to all.

  1. The Olympics do have a positive impact on world peace, as you have pointed out and yes spending the money directly on the world's problems may be helpful, but I have this sense that the world must come to know that we are one, that when someone hurts afar way off, that we hurt also and in a way the Olympics, Rotary Exchange, International Universities and other groups help this to happen; and that is good.
